Batavia Aground Series: ABANDONED ON MORNING REEF (Limited Edition)

Batavia Aground Series: ABANDONED ON MORNING REEF (Limited Edition)

from A$120.00

The 'Batavia Aground' trilogy depicts the time line of events leading up to and including that tragic day at the Abrolhos Islands in 1629. ‘Abandoned on Morning Reef’ is the last in the series and shows the winds continuing to strengthen and the ship’s condition deteriorate. The survivors begin their first night on Beacon Island, which was to become the Batavia’s graveyard.

The three works have been sold to private collectors and we now offer ‘Limited Edition’ larger canvas and smaller cotton rag etch card prints of the original series so all can still own your piece of Western Australian history.

  • Limited Edition prints are available in three sizes on canvas only or three smaller sizes on cotton rag etch card only.

  • All options have a limited amount of copies.

  • A numbered Certificate of Authenticity will be issued with each print sale.

  • Paul’s original paintings are digitally scanned in multiple sizes and printed on professional 420gsm quality canvas. Crafted using archival quality UV stable inks, our large canvas prints are designed to elevate any space.

  • Mirror wrap canvas prints are crafted by wrapping the closest part of the image over the sides, giving the canvas edges a reflection-like appearance.

  • No frame required.

  • All print sizes are within a few mm on sizes shown.

  • Prints may be stretched, ready to hang and available to collect from his South Perth Studio, Perth International Airport Upstairs Gallery or Subiaco Restoration in Osborne Park.
